Life brings storms—confusion, disappointment, temptation, loss, and uncertainty. But Jesus teaches us that it is possible to stand firm when those storms come. Today’s readings show us what kind of foundation actually lasts and how to live with wisdom, courage, and trust in God.

📖 Today’s Word:

Matthew 7:15–29
Jesus warns about false teachers, teaches that true faith produces real fruit, and ends the Sermon on the Mount with the powerful image of two builders—one on sand and one on rock. This passage reminds us that storms will come, but only a life built on obedience to Christ will stand.

Psalms 9:1–12
David praises God for His justice, protection, and faithfulness. These verses remind us that even in hardship, God is our refuge and defender—and that remembering His goodness strengthens us in difficult times.

Proverbs 2:16–22
This passage contrasts the path of wisdom with the path of destruction. It shows how God’s wisdom protects us from choices that quietly erode our lives and leads us toward stability, peace, and lasting hope.

Storms reveal what we’ve built our lives on. When our foundation is Christ—not appearance, comfort, or approval—we can stand firm no matter what comes.
