📖 Today’s Word:
Matthew 13:47–14:12
This passage reminds us that God’s kingdom ultimately reveals what is true, not what merely looks good on the surface. Jesus teaches that there will be a final sorting—justice will come, even if it feels delayed. Then we see this truth lived out in John the Baptist’s story. John does the right thing by speaking truth, and it costs him everything. This reminds us that obedience doesn’t always lead to protection or applause—but it always has eternal meaning.
Psalm 18:16–36
David reflects on how God rescued him when he was overwhelmed and in danger. He describes God as his strength, shield, and deliverer. Even when circumstances are chaotic, God is actively working behind the scenes to sustain, protect, and guide. This psalm reminds us that just because things don’t turn out how we expect doesn’t mean God has abandoned us—He is often working in ways we can’t yet see.
Proverbs 4:7–10
This passage emphasizes that wisdom is more valuable than anything else we can gain. Wisdom isn’t about getting what we want—it’s about becoming who God is shaping us to be. These verses teach us that the true reward of doing the right thing isn’t always an easy life, but a meaningful one. Wisdom protects, honors, and gives life direction, even when the path is difficult.
