The One Habit Jesus Never Skipped

What if the most powerful thing Jesus did wasn’t a miracle… but a habit?

In today’s reading, we see something profound: in the middle of success, crowds, and momentum — Jesus withdrew to pray. Before pressure. Before storms. Before the next miracle.

Maybe the habit we skip most is the one that matters most.

📖 Today's Word:

🌱 Mark 6:30–56
After feeding the 5,000 and ministering to massive crowds, Jesus sends the disciples away and goes up on a mountainside alone to pray. Even at the height of ministry success, He prioritized private time with the Father. Then comes the storm — and Jesus walks on water. What was cultivated in private sustained Him in public.

🌱 Psalm 40:1–10
David speaks of waiting patiently for the Lord, being lifted from the pit, and delighting to do God’s will. This psalm reminds us that alignment with God precedes effective action. Worship flows from a heart that waits and listens.

🌱 Proverbs 10:11–12
“The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life…” What flows out of us publicly is formed privately. Love covers offenses. Wisdom produces life. Our inner world shapes our outer impact.

If Jesus never skipped solitude with the Father…
should we?
